| Born 1943 in Saigon, Đao Mui (new name Đào Nguyên) graduated from Gia Đinh Academy of fine arts in 1965.
He is rather a versatile painter, who can paint on any medium, such as oil on canvas, lacquer painter,
watercolour on silk and carved on sendalwood. But Đào Nguyên is well-known for his silk
works in which he represents with tricks of style the Saigon woman's universe, as demonstrated by the
series of portrait reminiscent of times gone by. |

Born in 1951 in Saigon, artist Ngoc Mai took 12 years to paint THE TALE OF KIEU on 28 life-size silk paintings. She and artist Nguyen Thi Tam have exhibited their paintings in Texas, France, and Vietnam.
